Five weeks after the start of the curfew, the state of alert was extended once again - until 09 May 2020.
It is not possible to estimate how long it will then be before we are allowed to open the diving centre. Therefore we had to cancel our marine biology seminar for 2020 with a heavy heart.
New date: 09. to 14. May 2021.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all participants for their understanding - and for the promise to attend the seminar next year!
April 23rd is Sant Jordi, the day of books and roses - usually.
But what is still as usual this year?
We think it's especially nice that this cherished tradition has been postponed to July 23rd - you can read about it in Catalan News.
Use the time for further training:
Beside the already announced offer for the special course "Science of Diving", SSI now starts to offer the possibility to do not only online training, but also to pass the final theoretical examn online.
This makes it possible to complete courses, for which no dives and / or practical exercises are necessary, completely at home and also to receive a certification. Beside "Science of Diving", the Nitrox course EAN 32 is an example for this.

Here in Tamariu we try to keep our good mood as well as our health.
While Tom is still looking for the manual for his mouth-nose protection, Stefan takes part in the "Corona-Challenge": Hair and beard are allowed to sprout uncut during curfew!
