Actually today should be the day-off in this year's marine biology seminar.

Well, it's really calm in Tamariu, but otherwise?

Since Monday we are (finally) in phase 1 of the "de-escalation".

That means:

- we are now allowed to move within our province (instead of only within the community).

- Bars and restaurants are allowed to receive guests - outdoors, and only on 50% of the terrace area, always provided that the minimum distances are kept.

- Shops up to 400 m2 open again

- there are still restrictions on when it's allowed to do open air sports

- furthermore the beaches are taboo for sun worshippers

This Monday we used the new freedom for a first, careful crew photo 2020.

And that was a good idea - starting tomorrow, masks will be compulsory in public places, even outdoors, as soon as a distance of 2 m can not be guarantueed.

Yesterday morning we could finally realize a first house reef dive! :-D

The strong winter storms have "redecorated" the bay a little bit, but fauna and flora obviously enjoy the forced human break.

In this one dive we got to see octopuses in all sizes, cuttlefish, two different species of rays, a snake eel and much more.

We are especially pleased that the Posidonia sea grass meadow has survived the winter storms unharmed.

It is clear that we will have little time for fun dives in the next weeks.

At the moment we can hardly manage to process all the video conferences, webinars and legal texts. All this has to be implemented first.

Additionally we are working on

- a new rinsing solution for equipment

- a contactless online check-in

- a general plan of measures and procedures for safe basic operation

- all repair work that we have not yet been able to tackle due to the limited possibilities.
